Arsenal have officially announced the signing of midfielder Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United in a hefty £75 million deal.
The 28-year-old Brazilian has inked a four-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional season. Guimaraes will carry the number 39 shirt and is set to be a pivotal addition in the midfield under Mikel Arteta's management.
Speaking about his transfer, the Brazil international revealed that his decision was quickly made after discussions with sporting director Andrea Berta and head coach Mikel Arteta:
