Insider Fabrizio Romano has revealed that midfielder Kendry Paez has returned to London club Chelsea after a loan stint at River Plate. He is not part of head coach Xabi Alonso's plans.
Romano explains the reasons behind the player's premature return.
River Plate opted to send Kendry Paez back to Chelsea because they were unhappy with the boy's attitude... both on the pitch and in training. There were difficulties and issues.
Xabi has stated that he currently does not fit into their plans. Chelsea are looking for a solution. They want him to be playing and developing.
The journalist also shared his thoughts regarding the player's future.
My feeling is that Chelsea are trying to find another solution as they know that it's unlikely Kendry will feature for the first team anytime soon.
The transfer window has closed in most European countries.
However, moves are still permitted in Mexico, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia. Paez is expected to head to one of these leagues for game time.
