Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler has formalised a long-term contract with the club. According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement with the 21-year-old will remain in place until June 2032, with official news to follow shortly.
This new deal significantly reduces the likelihood of Guler departing, especially in light of interest from several top Premier League clubs. Previously, Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso expressed a strong desire to work once more with Guler and urged the club's hierarchy to consider a move for him.

Arda Guler has agreed to sign a new contract with Real Madrid! The deal has been done, and an announcement will be made soon — the contract will run until June 2032, for six years.
Arda has already given his consent. All terms have been accepted.
The Turkish talent joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce in 2023 and boasts an impressive record of 19 goals and 26 assists in 116 matches for the Spanish giants.
Interest in the young midfielder has also been linked to Arsenal and Liverpool. Reports indicated that the Gunners had reached out to Guler's representatives to gauge his interest in a potential move to the Emirates.
Under Jose Mourinho, Guler has featured in all four of Real's opening matches of the current La Liga season, contributing one goal and one assist. Mourinho has previously lauded Guler's potential, suggesting that his career trajectory could mirror that of Luka Modric and Bernardo Silva.
Mourinho stated:
I really like Arda Guler. I believe something similar to what happened with Modric or Bernardo Silva could occur for him. You start in one position and end your career in another. You might begin as a ‘number ten’ and eventually become an ‘eight’ or ‘six’.
