Liverpool players Dominik Soboslai, Ryan Gravenberch and Milos Kerkez have spoken about their experiences with the club's new head coach, Andoni Iraola, in the latest episode of the club's programme 'The Reds Roundtable', touching on themes of leadership, game intensity, and ambitions for the 2026/27 season.
Soboslai, recently appointed vice-captain, highlighted the importance of squad unity as a key factor for success:
Our main task right now is to become a real family, as that is the only way we can achieve great victories.
Gravenberch echoed his teammate's sentiments, noting the high potential within the squad:
We understand that this season won’t be easy, but we have assembled a great team to tackle serious challenges.
The Dutch midfielder also mentioned that the players are still adjusting to the new coaching staff's demands, but positive progress is already visible during training sessions at the club.
Kerkez, who previously played under Iraola at Bournemouth, singled out the intense playing style required:
We really have to pay close attention to the tactics and we’re doing a lot of running. But if we continue in this vein, we have a great chance to compete for every trophy.
