Chelsea are closely monitoring 18-year-old Sevilla midfielder Nico Guillen. According to Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, the London club has shown direct interest in the Spaniard and has already sent representatives to Andalusia to watch him live.
The Blues' scouts have been impressed by Guillen and will continue to keep tabs on him. Currently, the player is gaining valuable experience with Sevilla's reserve side, where he has netted two goals in three appearances this season.
Guillen made his debut for the senior team this season. In August, he started in a 2-1 victory against Rayo Vallecano and later came off the bench in a match against Athletic Club, which ended 3-1.
In January, Sevilla extended Guillen's contract until 2029, with a release clause set at €20 million. This means Chelsea could sign him without negotiations with the Spanish club if they decide to activate the clause.
However, due to financial difficulties, Sevilla are not ruling out the possibility of selling Guillen for a lesser amount. At this stage, interest from Chelsea remains speculative, and no formal offers have been made.
