Arsenal has officially secured a deal for Georgian starlet Andria Bartashvili. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder will make the move to the Gunners in the summer of 2027, as soon as he celebrates his 18th birthday.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bartashvili has already passed his medical, and the deal has been formally penned. Although he is now considered an Arsenal player, he won't be eligible to join the first team until he reaches the required age.

Arsenal's first signing for 2027

Bartashvili is a clear example of Arsenal's long-term transfer strategy. The North London club has made arrangements for the young prospect well in advance of his 18th birthday.

Initial reports suggest the transfer fee is approximately €4.5 million, with the midfielder set to sign a five-year contract.

In the meantime, Bartashvili will continue to play in Georgia until his transition to England. His official joining date at Arsenal is set for the summer of 2027.
