17-year-old Aston Villa forward Brian Madojo shone brightly in the UEFA Super Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain, but he will now be sidelined due to injury.
Despite the defeat to the reigning European champions, Madojo emerged as the star of the show, scoring a stunning goal and setting a record as the youngest goalscorer in UEFA Super Cup history. Standing at 193cm, the young striker has drawn comparisons with England captain Harry Kane for his stature and impressive positional awareness on the pitch.
According to The Athletic, Madojo and midfielder Joao Gomes will miss the early rounds of the Premier League due to their injuries:
