Juventus are weighing up the possibility of retaining Nick Woltemade after his loan, but Newcastle’s demands might complicate matters. The English club values the 24-year-old forward at approximately €60 million or slightly less.
Woltemade joined Juventus on loan at the end of the summer transfer window, with the Italian side covering his wages fully.
One reason for the German's departure from Newcastle was his dissatisfaction with Matthias Jaisle's style of play, which relied heavily on long balls. As the window drew to a close, Newcastle began exploring options to offload him.
Now, Juventus are keen to see how Woltemade performs in the coming months. The forward has mainly featured as a substitute, but after the international break, he hopes to be fully fit and ready to challenge for a starting spot.
Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on the situation. According to Italian media, the Bavarians have already made contact with Woltemade's camp, although no agreements have been reached.
The primary hurdle for Juventus remains the price. Around €60 million is a hefty sum for the Turin club, especially with potential competition from Bayern. Therefore, no final decision on a buyout has been made yet.
