Rio Ferdinand has reacted ironically to reports of the independent commission's ruling on Manchester City.
According to several British news outlets, the club has been found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges relating to financial rule breaches in the Premier League. While the formal punishment has yet to be determined, City plans to appeal the decision.
Following the news, Ferdinand tweeted:

The former Manchester United defender also took a swipe at José Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, whose teams finished behind Manchester City during their championship-winning seasons.
In the 2017/18 season, Manchester United, under Mourinho, secured second place, racking up 81 points compared to City's impressive 100. Similarly, in the 2020/21 season, Solskjaer's side again finished second, earning 74 points against City's 86.
As it stands, the exact punishment for Manchester City remains unclear. Potential sanctions could include fines or points deductions, but no official announcement has yet been made.
This leaves the possibility of stripping City of their previous titles and reallocating them to the teams that finished second purely speculative for now.
