The German winger currently has two years remaining on his agreement with Brentford, but the club is keen to enhance his terms in a bid to retain him amidst interest from Premier League giants.
Shade shines in early season form
Shade has netted three goals in his first five matches of the campaign, contributing to Brentford’s unbeaten run. The Bees currently sit fourth in the league, having recorded two home victories against Tottenham and Chelsea, plus three drawn matches.
One standout performance for Shade was during the clash against Bournemouth, where he bagged a brace to secure a 2-2 draw for his side.
Arsenal and Liverpool show strong interest
Several major English clubs have been keeping tabs on Shade for some time. Previously linked teams include Chelsea and Tottenham, but the most substantial interest in recent weeks has been reported to come from Arsenal and Liverpool, according to Sky Sports.
Arsenal have also included Shade in their list of potential transfer targets for the January window.
As of now, no official bids have been made from either club, as Brentford aims to address the situation with a new contract.

Shade made the switch to Brentford from Freiburg in June 2023 for £20 million. Since joining the London club, he has featured in 119 matches, scoring 25 goals and providing nine assists.
