In contrast, during his time at Real Madrid in the 2025/26 season, he enjoyed a perfect start, winning all five of his opening La Liga matches with 10 goals scored and three clean sheets. However, his stint in the Spanish capital was short-lived as he departed mid-season. Chelsea's hierarchy will be hoping that Alonso can tighten up their defence after the international break.
