Chelsea have set their sights on Barcelona's Jules Kounde, with the club reportedly asking about the terms for a possible transfer of the French defender.
Barcelona are open to examining offers for Kounde, who they might let go for a fee in the region of €60-70 million, according to sources.
Kounde has been with Barcelona since 2022 and remains a key figure in their squad, recently playing his 193rd match for the club in September, equating him with Eric Abidal for the most appearances by a French player at Barca.
However, doubts linger over his future at the club. In August, Spanish media reported that Kounde's representative, Jonathan Kebe, met with Barcelona's hierarchy amid speculation surrounding the defender's potential exit.
In addition, it has been reported in recent days that Kounde's agents have been granted permission to begin talks with Premier League clubs during the upcoming international break.
Chelsea have long been interested in Kounde. They were cited among potential suitors for the defender last summer, despite bolstering their options in the right-back position.
