Chelsea have joined a host of European clubs keeping an eye on 15-year-old midfielder Adama Jeng, who represents the Gambia U17 national team. This was reported by transfer correspondent Pete O'Rourke.
Jeng has caught the attention of scouts during his performances at the WAFU Zone A U-17 tournament in Senegal, where Gambia reached the final. In Gambia's official squad list for the tournament, Jeng is named among the midfielders.
Chelsea representatives have been observing Jeng closely during the tournament in Dakar. The London club views the promising young player as a potential future prospect and is weighing up a move.
However, Chelsea are not alone in their interest; notable clubs such as Bayern Munich, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, and Paris FC are also monitoring the situation.
At this stage, the focus is solely on scouting interest, with no agreements reported between any club and the young talent just yet.
