Sunderland and Fulham remain interested in Parma central defender Mariano Troilo and may return for him next summer. The Italian club is looking for around €30 million for the 23-year-old Argentinian.
According to ParmaToday, English clubs had offered €20 million for Troilo this summer, but Parma decided to keep the player for at least another season. This decision was heavily influenced by the stance of head coach Carlos Cuesta, who considers the defender to be one of the key players in his squad.
Troilo joined Parma in the summer of 2025. In his debut season, he made 21 appearances in Serie A and secured a regular spot in the starting XI during the latter half of the campaign.
Previously, reports indicated that Fulham had shown interest in the Argentinian, while Sunderland had already reached out to his representatives. Now Parma is open to the possibility of selling the defender in the summer of 2027.
Troilo's progress and defensive skills are highly regarded in Italy, although he still needs to improve his ball-handling abilities.
