European giants are vying for the signature of 15-year-old wonderkid Gabriel Raikovic from Norwegian club Valerenga. According to a report from Norwegian broadcaster TV 2, both Barcelona and Manchester United have shown significant interest in the young forward, but there’s no clear favourite in the race for his signature as yet.
Scouts from Manchester United personally watched the teenager in early September during a match against Sarpsborg 08. Raikovic rose to the occasion, scoring a dramatic equaliser deep into stoppage time to salvage a 2-2 draw.
The forward has publicly declared his admiration for Manchester United, having been a fan of the club since childhood, which could give the Red Devils an edge over their Catalan rivals.
This year, Gabriel Raikovic made history by becoming the youngest debutant in Norway's top-flight league. Despite his tender age, the 15-year-old has already netted two goals in thirteen appearances in the current campaign.
