Liverpool are reportedly keen on Monaco midfielder Lamina Camara and may reignite their interest in him during the January transfer window. Journalist David Lynch suggests that the Reds have a strong appreciation for the 22-year-old Senegalese player, especially as manager Andoni Iraola might require additional strength in midfield.
Camara was on the brink of a move to Chelsea over the summer, with the Blues agreeing to a €55 million deal with Monaco. However, the French club decided against selling the player at the last moment. Now, reports indicate that any potential suitors might need to fork out around €70 million for the midfielder.

According to the journalist, the decision-making from Liverpool's hierarchy will heavily depend on Iraola's assessment of the current midfield setup:
If he concludes that the midfield is not performing and cannot be rectified through training, he will face serious decisions—whether to change players in the starting XI or to request Liverpool to sign someone in January, if the opportunity arises.
However, Lynch did caution against viewing Camara as a guaranteed solution to all of Liverpool's issues, highlighting the difference in competition levels between Ligue 1 and the Premier League.
