Jadon Sancho remains without a club following his summer departure from Manchester United.
The English winger made the switch to Manchester in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund for a staggering £73 million, but his time at the club has been overshadowed by disappointing performances, marking him as one of the worst signings in Premier League history.
Sancho, now 26, was sidelined from the first team after branding himself a 'scapegoat' during a period of dismal form. A loan back to Dortmund followed, before he moved to Chelsea, where he enjoyed some success, including a Conference League triumph with a goal in the final.
Last season, he spent time on loan at Aston Villa but failed to shine, although he was part of the squad that won the Europa League. However, Villa opted against making the deal permanent, leaving Sancho to return to Manchester, where he became a free agent in June.
Rumours had linked him with Qatari side Al-Rayyan, but that move fell through. Recently, he was spotted training with amateur club Flixton, competing in the 10th tier of English football.
There’s also talk of Palmeiras in Brazil being a potential landing spot, but the manager of Borussia Dortmund, Niko Kovac, has firmly shut the door on a possible return for Sancho.
I believe we had a really good transfer window this summer. We are well-equipped. The squad is already quite large with 26 outfield players, many of whom are young. We don't need to pay attention to the rumours.
