Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana has shared his impressions of working under Xabi Alonso. The players are already actively adopting the ideas of the Spanish manager.
Recently, the defender played 70 minutes in a friendly match against Tottenham. The Frenchman is happy to be back on the pitch.
“I feel good. My legs feel a bit heavy, but I am happy to have played about 70 minutes, and now it’s about recovering and preparing for the next match,” said the player.
Wesley also highly praised the work of the new head coach of the Blues.
“Everything is going amazingly with Xabi. Of course, we know how good he was as a player, but as a coach, he is simply fantastic so far. We are learning a lot from him, adopting his ideas, and so far, everything is going well,” admitted the footballer.
Fofana believes in a bright future for the team under the guidance of the Spanish coach. This is reported by Tribuna.com.
“It’s only been a short time, just about three weeks, but we are thrilled to be working with him, and I think the future looks really exciting,” summed up the London defender.
