Nicolas Jackson is preparing to leave Chelsea before the transfer window shuts. According to Fabrizio Romano, the club is ready to allow the striker to exit only on a permanent deal and are not entertaining any thoughts of a loan.
Aston Villa are currently leading the charge, with the Birmingham side in daily contact with all parties involved in the potential transfer as Ollie Watkins could soon make a move to Al-Hilal.

The interest from Villa is closely tied to the Watkins situation: if the forward leaves Unai Emery's team for Saudi Arabia, Jackson could be a prime candidate to fill his boots.
Furthermore, Villa has an added advantage as Jackson previously worked with Emery at Villarreal. Atletico are still in the mix, but Chelsea's stance is clear — they want a full transfer, not another loan for the forward.
