Michael Carrick has warned Manchester United ahead of their meeting with Tottenham. The London side has only managed two points in five Premier League matches, but their manager believes their results do not reflect the actual level of their play.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has cautioned his team about the danger posed by Tottenham ahead of their clash at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The London club has had a dismal start to the Premier League season, sitting at the bottom of the table after five games, with just two points to show for their efforts. However, Carrick, who has represented both clubs in his playing days, insists that Tottenham's results do not accurately reflect the quality of their performance.

“In terms of points, they have played far better in some matches than what their results suggest,” Carrick stated at a press conference ahead of the encounter.

“If you look at the matches themselves, they are a very good team with quality players.

They have assembled a squad this summer that is different from what they had before. They haven’t achieved the results that they perhaps deserved,” the Manchester United boss added.
