Chelsea are ramping up their efforts to secure the signature of Eduardo Conseicao, a 16-year-old striker from Brazilian club Palmeiras, as reported by CaughtOffside.
The Brazilian outfit has set an eye-watering price tag of €100 million on their prodigious attacker. However, there’s a possibility that the final fee could be reduced, especially in light of the previous transfer between the clubs involving Estevao for £51 million.
Conseicao has garnered attention from several top European clubs, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and PSG all keeping a watchful eye on him. Yet, as it stands, only Chelsea and Manchester City have made official contact regarding the young prospect.
Due to regulations, Conseicao won't be able to join a senior team until January 2028, when he turns 18. This detail has deterred many clubs from immediate investment. Nonetheless, Chelsea remain keen to make a pre-emptive strike in a bid to outpace their competitors for the exciting young talent.
