Josh King labelled the victory over Hull City as a result of Fulham's brave and cohesive play. The forward praised Alex Iwobi for his decisive goal and admitted he wished to contribute more personally, but placed the team's success first.

Fulham's Josh King discussed the team's impressive 1-0 victory against Hull City during a BBC interview, highlighting Alex Iwobi's goal in the 33rd minute as the decider.

King praised the courage shown by his teammates, emphasising that their collective effort was crucial in securing the three points.

“I think we played really boldly today. We performed like a team that understood what was needed to secure the three points. We worked hard for each other from the first to the 90th minute. In the past, we haven’t always managed to hold on to our lead after going ahead,” the forward stated.

On Alex Iwobi's goal

King also took time to commend Iwobi for bringing victory to Fulham with his precise shot in the first half.

“Alex Iwobi is a special player, and it’s a pleasure to play with him. His goal today and contribution to the team were significant,” the striker emphasised.

On personal performance

King admitted that he aimed to leave the pitch with either a goal or an assist, but he prioritised the team's success above all.

“I would have liked to walk off the pitch with something more for myself – maybe a goal or an assist. That will come. But today, everything was for the team,” he added.
