The ranking of Manchester United's eight transfers under director Jason Wilcock has been published. Leading the list is goalkeeper Senne Lammens, while newcomers like Andre Santos and Karl Darlow find themselves at the bottom.

Amidst growing criticism towards director of football Jason Wilcock, accused of not effectively enhancing Manchester United's squad, experts from BritBall.Net have put together a ranking of all eight signings made under his watch since 2024.

1. Senne Lammens

Choosing young Belgian goalkeeper Lammens over the more established Emiliano Martinez was a bold move, but one that has proven to be a stroke of genius. With the preceding keeper's instability, Lammens has cemented his spot in what many consider to be “the most challenging position in English football.”

2. Carlos Baleba

While the midfielder has seen limited action with the Red Devils, his profile was so crucial to the club that a flop in this transfer could have had dire consequences. Baleba is expected to become one of the team’s key players as the season progresses.

3. Matheus Cunha

The Brazilian enjoyed an outstanding first season and quickly became a fan favourite. However, he now finds himself in a battle for a starting spot with Marcus Rashford and occasionally has to fill in as a centre-forward, which has slightly curtailed his momentum this season.

4. Bryan Mbeumo

Last summer’s £65 million acquisition has shown great promise, excelling in a wide role. However, following Benjamin Sesko's injury, he has been forced to adapt to a more central striker position, which isn't really his forte.

5. Benjamin Sesko

The only true striker at Michael Carrick's disposal, the team looks entirely different when Sesko is on the pitch. However, his frequent injuries leave a considerable gap in United's attacking structure.

6. Youri Tielemans

An opportunistic signing of the seasoned midfielder for a decent price. Yet, the compatibility of the 29-year-old with Kobbie Mainoo in midfield raises eyebrows due to their similar limitations in pace.

7. Andre Santos

The £50 million transfer has raised many eyebrows among fans. To date, the expensive newcomer has struggled to find his place in the team, failing to outshine his competition in the midfield.

8. Karl Darlow

The least significant and most straightforward transfer of all, the 36-year-old Welsh goalkeeper was brought in purely to add depth to the bench and provide veteran presence in the dressing room, having conceded three goals in his debut cup match against Brighton.
