Barcelona's head coach Hansi Flick has expressed his surprise at the club's chance to sign Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal for a reported fee of £8.6 million.
Following a convincing 5-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano, Flick shared his thoughts:
I was a bit surprised that we had the chance to acquire Jesus. I really like him. His style of play suits our football, and I believe he can help us a lot.
The German tactician also extended his gratitude to sporting director Deco:
He can be an important player for us, so thank you to Deco—he's done an excellent job once again.
Jesus, who was in attendance for the match against Rayo Vallecano, commented briefly on his anticipated move:
