Chelsea have officially declined a request from Italian side Roma for the loan of 22-year-old winger Jamie Gittens.
The Romans approached the Blues with a proposal for a paid one-year loan at €3 million, including an optional buy clause for €40 million. However, the club hierarchy and coaching staff firmly blocked the deal.
