Bournemouth's head coach Marco Rose has reacted to the 2-2 draw against Brentford in the Premier League.
“For the first time this season, we found ourselves in a losing position, but we responded well. Fortunately for me, we didn’t concede at the end. We had more chances, more possession — we were the better team,” Rose stated in an interview with BBC Match of the Day.
The manager highlighted the team's performance in both defence and attack.
“Brentford are a tough opponent. They excel at second balls and have physically strong players as well as quality individuals. I liked how we fought and how we defended in most situations. I was pleased with our attacking play and the attitude towards the game.”
“In a few instances, we were just unlucky, which is why we ended up with just one point.”
Rose on Georgi Petrovic's error
Rose also addressed the mistake made by goalkeeper Georgi Petrovic that led to Brentford's goal.
“What matters is how we respond. We are a team, and we make mistakes together. Even at 2-2, I believed we could win this match.”
Looking ahead, Rose has already turned his attention to the next match:
“Now we move on and prepare for Thursday — we have a Europa League match ahead. It’s a big occasion for the club.”
