Hakim Ziyech has officially signed with Botafogo. The Brazilian club announced the acquisition of the 33-year-old former Chelsea player as a free agent.
The Moroccan winger's agreement with Botafogo runs until the end of 2028.
In a statement, the club said:
Hakim Ziyech is now a Botafogo player. A World Cup participant and multiple European trophy winner, he has signed a contract with us until the end of 2028.
Ziyech was a free agent for just a few days after his contract with Moroccan club Wydad was mutually terminated. During his eleven months at Wydad, he made 16 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing two assists.
Wydad bid a warm farewell to the winger:

At Botafogo, Ziyech will link up with several players who have Premier League experience, including Alex Telles, Allan, and Danilo.
In England, Ziyech is best known for his time at Chelsea, where he lifted the Champions League trophy in 2021.
His debut for Botafogo could come in their next match against RB Bragantino.
