Liverpool have clinched a deal to secure the services of Andrey Fedchenkov, the head scout from Flamengo.
The 30-year-old will transition to the English Premier League outfit in January 2027, coinciding with the end of his contract with the Brazilian giants.
Fedchenkov to arrive at Liverpool in January
According to ESPN Brasil, an agreement has been reached for Fedchenkov to take up his new position. He will continue his role at Flamengo until the last few weeks of his current contract, which runs through to December 2026.
Fedchenkov joined Flamengo in early 2025, following a recommendation from sporting director Jose Boto, with whom he had previously collaborated at Greek side PAOK and Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.
Expert in the South American market
Specialising in scouting talent across South America, Europe, and Japan, Fedchenkov's extensive experience in various transfer markets is expected to bolster Liverpool's scouting structure.
His move is anticipated to enhance the Reds' talent identification department. However, specific details regarding his future responsibilities have yet to be disclosed.
Fedchenkov will wrap up his work at Flamengo by the end of 2026, ushering in a new phase of his career at Liverpool.
