Harry Kane has reflected on his triumph at the 2026 Ballon d'Or, extending his thanks to everyone who played a role in his success.

The English forward gave an emotional address at the ceremony in London, in which he specifically acknowledged Vincent Kompany, his England teammates, and his former club, Tottenham.

Kane: 'I was almost lost for words'

'I was almost lost for words. Being here in London is something special. It feels like a good sign for me,' said the forward.

Kane also reached out to Bayern Munich's head coach, Vincent Kompany, who he noted was either watching the ceremony from home or recovering in a hospital.

'Vini, I know you are at home or still in hospital. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope this event gave you some strength,' the England international stated.

Gratitude for Kompany and Bayern

The forward highlighted that working with the Belgian has improved him not just as a footballer, but as a person and a leader.

'We had many good moments. It was an honour for me to captain you and lead you forward,' added Kane.

Kane didn't forget Tottenham

He made sure to thank Tottenham as well, where he spent a significant part of his career.
