If Lionel Messi had won the World Cup, I think he would have taken the Ballon d'Or. Michael Olise is also very much in the conversation. But my choice is Kylian Mbappe. People might say he hasn’t won anything.
People can argue that Kylian has no trophies, but that’s happened in the past. We need to delve into that. The Ballon d'Or has been awarded to players who haven’t won a single trophy in a season.
For me, Kylian was the best. Just look at his individual accolades. He was the top scorer in the Champions League, the top scorer in La Liga, and the top scorer at the World Cup.
Michael Olise has similar figures in terms of assists. It's simply remarkable. But I’ll choose Kylian, with Michael Olise not far behind.
