Ipswich Town striker Zian Fleming has reflected on the team's impressive 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League, where his crucial goal earned all three points.
"It’s a wonderful feeling to win, and scoring the winning goal makes it even better. In the second half, they had a spell where, despite being down to ten men, they dominated and managed to score as well. Fortunately, we turned things around, even though we shouldn’t have found ourselves in that position in the first place," Fleming told BBC Match of the Day.
Fleming on calmly celebrating the goal
The goalscorer admitted he was taken aback by his subdued reaction after scoring the pivotal goal.
"I can’t predict how I’ll celebrate in advance. For some reason, at that moment, I felt quite calm," he said.
Fleming on the importance of the victory
The player emphasised that every single point is vital in the Premier League battle.
"Every point counts. It’s not easy to win in the Premier League, especially away from home. For a large part of the match, we were up against ten men, so we had to leave here with three points. All these points help us move towards our main goal," he concluded.
