Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall remains on Manchester United's transfer radar after a deal between the clubs fell through last summer.
At the start of August, the 21-year-old was strongly linked with a move to the Manchester club, particularly as reports surfaced indicating he had been given permission to leave the Magpies' pre-season camp to contemplate his future.
The English player was on manager Michael Carrick's shortlist alongside Alejandro Balde from Barcelona, but Newcastle's hierarchy took a firm stance, rebuffing any offers to sell.
While the door for a potential future transfer remains ajar, Newcastle are reportedly valuing the England international at around £50 million. However, Carrick is not looking to reignite efforts to sign the player in January.
As the busy Champions League season looms, he is keen to avoid any squad alterations in the winter window unless necessitated by injuries or departures.
For the 2026/27 season, Carrick will rely on Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu for the left-back position, with Hall's situation likely to resurface next summer.
