Manchester City head coach Enzo Mareska stated that Arsenal's phenomenal squad depth and rotation options make the Gunners the key benchmark in the Premier League title race.

The head coach of Manchester City, Enzo Mareska, has hailed Arsenal's incredible squad depth as the main benchmark in the current race for the English championship.

“Since the FA Community Shield final, Arsenal have played two more matches and made five substitutions in each game,” noted the City boss.

“They have two World Cup winners in Mikel Merino and Martin Subimendi, and two English talents in Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke. There’s another one, I can’t remember exactly, I think it’s Piero Incapie,” Mareska listed some of the stars from the Gunners’ squad.

The 41-year-old emphasised the need for squad versatility when competing for trophies:

“If you want to be at the top, you need options. Arsenal have that. So do we.”

Mareska believes that effective management of player workloads and the ability to utilise squad depth will be key in determining who lifts the coveted trophy in May.
