Manchester United explored potential signing of Chelsea's Josh Achempong

Manchester United were among clubs that made inquiries about the potential transfer of Chelsea's young defender Josh Achempong last summer, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.

The interest from the Manchester club highlights the rising status of the talented Englishman in the transfer market, particularly given his solid performances in defence under manager Xabi Alonso.
