Bournemouth, Everton, Leeds, Brentford and Newcastle are tracking Sporting winger Geny Catamo. Sunderland also covets the player, but saw a summer bid of up to €40 million rejected.

Bournemouth have entered the fray, among other Premier League clubs, in their pursuit of Sporting's Geny Catamo. The 25-year-old winger from Mozambique has caught the attention of several English teams who have been evaluating his performances lately with an eye on strengthening their attack.

Alongside Bournemouth, interest in Catamo has been shown by Everton, Leeds, Brentford, and Newcastle. All these clubs are exploring options to enhance their forward lines, and the displays from the winger have piqued their interest.

However, as things stand, this interest is yet to translate into official bids. There have been no confirmations of offers from any of these English sides.

The competition from various clubs could complicate Sunderland's plans, as they identified Catamo as one of their key transfer targets back in the summer of 2026.

Reports suggest that in August and September, Sporting rejected offers that included packages worth up to €40 million, as the Portuguese club is adamant about sticking to a buyout clause of €60 million.

As such, potential suitors will need to consider Sporting's hefty financial demands should they decide to move beyond mere scouting and engage in official talks.

Geny Catamo has also made his mark on the international stage, representing Mozambique in 44 matches, scoring 16 goals. He remains under contract with Sporting until June 2029.

According to Transfermarkt, the market value of the 25-year-old is currently set at €35 million, which notably differs from the buyout figure insisted upon by the Portuguese side.
