Defender Harry Amass is highly likely to leave Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window. The 19-year-old is reportedly disgruntled with his lack of regular playing opportunities, as highlighted by the Daily Mail.
This season, the young Englishman has seen just 18 minutes of action on the pitch. Manager Michael Carrick seems to prefer using Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui and even central defender Aidan Heaven for left-back duties, leaving Amass sidelined, even with Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu currently injured.
Amass's only appearance came last month when he came off the bench in a Champions League match against Sabah, a game that ended in a convincing 4-0 victory for the Red Devils.
During the summer, United’s hierarchy had considered selling or loaning the defender, but the failure to secure a new left-back led them to keep Amass in the squad.
This January, a competitive chase for Amass's signature is expected. Burnley have already held preliminary talks, while around a dozen Championship clubs are eager to discuss a deal, recalling his successful loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday last season.
