Newcastle are weighing up a move for Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr. The 28-year-old Senegalese international has also drawn interest from Manchester United and Sunderland, while Sarr himself is contemplating a contract extension proposal from the London club.
Sarr has been with Crystal Palace since August 2024, and his current deal runs until 2029. However, the Eagles have already put forth new terms for the player.
Last summer, the winger attempted to leave Selhurst Park, but the club blocked his transfer to Galatasaray. The Turkish side remains interested in the player, and he is also being linked with clubs from the Saudi Pro League.
Reports suggest Crystal Palace valued Sarr at £75 million in the summer of 2026 — around €88 million. They previously rejected a bid from Galatasaray, which could have reached €45 million.
According to Transfermarkt, his market value is currently around €45 million. Crystal Palace acquired him from Marseille in 2024 for approximately €15 million.
It appears that serious financial backing will be necessary for potential buyers if they hope to persuade the London club to part ways with the player.
On the international stage, Sarr also boasts substantial experience, having made 87 appearances and scored 23 goals for Senegal up to the time of this writing.
The focus now shifts to the winger's decision regarding the new contract and whether interested clubs will progress from simply monitoring the situation to making formal bids.
