Manchester City are set to make another move to sign Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Citizens plan to submit an official offer before the transfer window closes. This information is also backed by recent reports in the English media.

“Manchester City are ready to submit an official offer for Enzo Fernandez before the transfer window closes. City want to try again, and Enzo has opened the door for a move.”
However, Chelsea's stance remains unchanged: the club is willing to discuss the sale of the Argentine only for an acceptable fee and if they can find a suitable replacement prior to his departure.
Previously, the Londoners valued Fernandez at £120 million. City failed to make their offer before Chelsea's deadline of August 14, after which it was assumed that the midfielder would stay at Stamford Bridge. Nonetheless, the interest from the Manchester club has not waned.
Thus, for the deal to go through, City must meet two key conditions from Chelsea: a satisfactory fee and the ability to find a replacement for the Argentine before the transfer window closes.
