Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has responded with his trademark irony to the recent ruling against Manchester City, who have been found guilty of multiple financial breaches within the Premier League.
Mourinho suggested we should take the situation with a pinch of salt, as he believes it could be a long wait for a conclusive decision.
'Let’s have a little laugh about this because there will eventually be an end to this story. But at my age of 60, I’d be lucky to still be alive when the final verdict comes in,' Mourinho quipped.
The charismatic Portuguese boss also pointed out that once City receive their punishment, an appeal is likely to follow, which would only stretch the process even further.
'Because now there will be a punishment handed down, and a year later, there’ll be an appeal,' he added.
