Ezri Konsa shared his thoughts after Arsenal secured a 2-1 win over Chelsea. The summer signing made his home debut at the Emirates, playing the full match.
After the match, Konsa spoke to Sky Sports:
From the moment I joined, I felt at home here. The lads have been brilliant, and the staff too. I'm really pleased to debut at home, and the three points are the most important thing.
Arsenal conceded a goal just two minutes in, courtesy of Morgan Rogers, but before half-time, Kai Havertz equalised, and Martin Ødegaard sealed the victory for the hosts in the second half.
Regarding the team's reaction to the early goal by Chelsea, Konsa commented:
It's part of football; the most important thing is how you respond. I know how much emphasis is placed on clean sheets here, but we reacted magnificently.
The defender also reflected on his robust but clean tackle against former Aston Villa teammate Rogers:
He got the crowd going. If you mistime a tackle like that, it's all bad, but when you nail it cleanly, the feeling is always great. I think on another day, we could have scored three or four.
The 28-year-old defender joined Arsenal from Aston Villa this summer for £55 million.
