Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has advised young footballers to seek out what makes them happy and to use that emotion as a driving force for development.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been sharing some sage words for budding footballers aiming for success in the sport.
The Norwegian star emphasises the importance of finding joy and motivation in the game, which drives continuous growth and development.
“Try to do what makes you smile. When I was young, scoring goals and winning matches brought me immense joy. I wanted to do it more often. I aimed to score more goals, and that also motivated me to go out and play football with my friends on weekends, because it was just so much fun and I derived huge pleasure from it,” he said.
“The key is to find something that makes you happy. If there’s a smile on your face, you can go as far as you want,” added Erling.
