Manchester City's striker Erling Haaland has opened up about how he copes with the frustration of missed opportunities during matches.
The Norwegian forward admitted that he has always loathed squandering chances and losing games. However, over time, he has learned to control his emotions.
“When I was very young, I was completely unhappy if I missed a chance or we lost a game, and I think that’s still with me: I don’t like missing moments, I don’t like losing. I want to win, but you need balance; how to react during a game, after a game. If you can use the negative aspects of football as motivation, that can be amazing. It's about self-control. Don’t think too much. I have my mum and dad; I have a girlfriend and a child. In the end, life is still good if you miss a chance — but I would really love to score,” said Haaland.
