Brighton defender Charlie Tasker is close to finalising a loan move to Rochdale. The 20-year-old right-back has been training regularly with the first team but mostly plays for the U21 squad.

Sky Sports journalist Elliot Cook has reported that Tasker is set to join Rochdale as part of this loan deal.

Last month, the defender made an appearance for Brighton in the EFL Trophy match against Northampton.

It is expected that on transfer deadline day, Brighton will also announce loan deals for several other players who have found first-team opportunities hard to come by.
