Brighton & Hove Albion are actively exploring the transfer market ahead of the summer window closure, with negotiations underway for two promising players: 23-year-old Spanish winger Eremay Hernandez from Deportivo La Coruna and 23-year-old Algerian defender Djawen Ajam from Swiss side Young Boys.
Hernandez has made three appearances for Spain's U21 national team and has been with Deportivo since July 2022, tied to a long-term contract lasting until the summer of 2030. His current market value, as per Transfermarkt, stands at €25 million.
Brighton are not the only club interested in the winger; Borussia Dortmund and Hull City have previously shown interest. The latter's owner reportedly mentioned a staggering release clause of €140 million after Deportivo rejected their 'historic' offer.
Additionally, Deportivo turned down a proposal from Lisbon's Sporting last summer, which included a €25 million fee plus €5 million in bonuses, demonstrating the Galician club’s commitment to keeping their rising star.
