Chelsea and Napoli have officially confirmed the transfer of Benoit Badiashile, the 25-year-old French central defender. Badiashile will continue his career at Napoli on loan for the upcoming season.
Transfer journalist Ekrem Konur has verified that the deal, involving the Chelsea defender moving to the Italian side, is now complete. The necessary legal documents have been finalised, with the player passing his medical and signing an agreement with the Partenopei.
Reports indicate that Napoli will pay €3 million for the one-year loan, alongside potential bonuses. They also secured an option to buy the player outright for €27 million although this is not obligatory. Furthermore, the Italian club will be responsible for covering Badiashile’s wages throughout the season.
