Aston Villa have officially announced the signing of Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis. The 24-year-old Englishman has joined the Birmingham club on a permanent basis.
Harwood-Bellis, a product of the Manchester City academy, has experienced a journey through various loans earlier in his career, playing for clubs like Blackburn and Anderlecht. In 2023, he played a pivotal role in helping Burnley secure the Championship title.
Last season, the defender achieved promotion to the Premier League with Southampton, paving the way for this permanent transfer to Villa.
Additionally, Harwood-Bellis has also celebrated success with the England U21 team, winning the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. He made an impressive senior debut for the England national team in 2024, scoring a goal in his first match against Ireland.
