Spanish giants Real Madrid are being advised to pursue Arsenal midfielder Martin Subimendi due to the player's lack of game time.
The 27-year-old Spaniard has found himself out of favour under Mikel Arteta, with the likes of Myles Lewis-Skelly and summer signing Bruno Guimaraes preferred in the midfield. This season, Subimendi has only made one start, which came in a League Cup tie against Ipswich.
Journalist Dani Garrido, speaking on Cadena SER, insists that Madrid should take advantage of the situation with the player.
"Real should ask for the price on Subimendi because he is not playing at Arsenal at all. He is the perfect fit for Mourinho."
The La Liga heavyweights failed to secure the signings of Rodri or another top playmaker during the summer, which now leaves a significant gap in their midfield. Subimendi himself has recently admitted that being stuck on the bench isn't satisfactory for him.
Arsenal forked out €70 million for the player, and if Real are to make a tempting offer come January, it will put Arteta and the Arsenal hierarchy in a difficult position.
