City Football Group has taken a keen interest in Pumas UNAM midfielder Pedro Vite.
As reported by TransferFeed, officials from the City Football Group have already reached out about the 24-year-old, who has represented Ecuador at the international level, while Pumas is willing to entertain offers for his transfer.
Vite joined Pumas in July 2025, and he is under contract until July 2029. This long-term deal suggests that any suitor will need to negotiate terms with the Mexican club should they wish to secure his services.
City Football Group's interest expands beyond Manchester City
The interest in Vite is not limited solely to Manchester City; City Football Group operates several clubs across different countries. This means that a potential transfer does not necessarily indicate an immediate move to the Manchester side.
As of yet, it remains unconfirmed which specific club within the group is being considered as a potential new home for the Ecuadorian.
Pedro Vite has appeared in 24 matches for the Ecuador national team, scoring one goal. Transfermarkt lists his current market value at €6.5 million.
While Pumas is open to selling the midfielder, the presence of a long-term contract gives the club leverage in determining the conditions of any potential deal.
