Chelsea are prepared to compromise in financial negotiations regarding defender Malo Gusto, prompting French side Paris Saint-Germain to ramp up their pursuit of defensive reinforcements.
According to a trusted source at Sky Sports, Chelsea's hierarchy valued the 23-year-old right-back at around £75 million last summer. However, the management at Stamford Bridge is now willing to be flexible and listen to reasonable transfer proposals for the Frenchman. Gusto's versatility, being able to cover multiple positions in defence, makes him an incredibly attractive target for PSG.
Gusto himself is content under the stewardship of Xabi Alonso but is keen on receiving solid assurances of regular starts. Since joining Chelsea from Lyon, he has made 141 appearances across all competitions, contributing three goals and 18 assists.
