Chelsea supporters paid a heartfelt tribute to club legend Bobby Tambling during the 2026/27 Premier League match against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
Before the kick-off, a prominent banner appeared in the stands dedicated to the celebrated striker, who passed away in June 2026. The banner featured an image of Tambling in the Blues' kit, along with the words 'Bobby Tambling Legend 202'.
Tambling remains one of the greatest goal scorers in Chelsea's history. The forward represented the club for over a decade, from 1959 to 1970, during which he netted an impressive 202 goals in all competitions. For many years, he held the record as the club's all-time leading scorer until Frank Lampard surpassed it in 2013.
The former striker passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 84 following a prolonged illness. The fans clearly demonstrated that the memory of the historic goal-scorer will always live on in the stands of Stamford Bridge.
